Bitacora Lanzarote Club

"Visited with friends due to recommendations however disappointing stay Check in was quick and easy, reception area is beautiful which got us excited for seeing the rooms. Reception staff very friendly and helpful Went to the room and expections unfortunately were not met. Room was in a beautiful position however this was the only positive. Bird droppings covered the balcony and outdoor furniture and remained there for the duration of our stay. Rooms in needs of modernisation. Bathroom smelt of urine all week. No hand soap provided. The biggest let down was the cleanliness. There were bogeys smeared up the wall, and hair on the floor. Bed sheets were not changed once during our stay. Nor did the cleaners clean, I think they just changed the towels every other day. Such a shame as there were positives. Staff were all very friendly. Beds comfortable. Food fantastic. Pool area clean. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the room let this whole stay down for us which is such a shame. This was our 3rd stay in PDC and the previous 2 apartments we stayed at were extremely clean. Therefore we will not be returning to Bitacora unfortunately"

"We as a family have been here numerous times before and just love this complex. Beautiful and clean and again can’t fault it. Maids are amazing. Although the water did get turned off at times which i know isn’t the complex’s fault it is just an inconvenience and a nuisance. The pool is cold but plenty sun beds available. The weather was beautiful so it was nice for a cool dip. Reception staff amazing as always and really helpful. Regarding the pool bar staff, there was a young girl staff member visibly upset and at times crying and although we didn’t actually speak with her (because of this) the other guests told us her story. We actually felt sorry for her but didn’t engage with her incase of hearing her sorrows. The other staff were great and we did have a fantastic time and would definitely return again. Food was a hit and a miss. But breakfast was always lovely and worth the money. Football always advertised and the Scottish lady always tried to play as many games as possible. Again a lovely holiday and would definitely return."

"Absolutely awfull and unprofessional behaviour from young bar-maid, talking to my young son and daughter about her sexual relationship and her breakup. Constantly crying behing bar and whilst at our table taking our order. She messed up our drinks and breakfast orders both days we used the pool bar and made us feel so uncomfortable we didnt use the onsite pool bar for the remaining of our 2 week stay. A formal complaint was lodged with reception. The hotel itself is fantastic. We are a family of 4, my children loved the large pool and outdoor area. Plenty of sun loungers and the grounds are kept very clean and tidy. Reception very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean, spacious and modern. Very friendly and helpfull Scottish girl working in pool bar helped us with directions, excursions and other questions we had and Marco on reception was fantastic."
