VIK Hotel San Antonio

"1st time at the Vik was a last minute holiday and we couldn't find fault, all the staff were curtious and went over and above to please you, food excellent and plenty of it, room was wee bit dated but spotless, they are in the middle of bringing them up to date ie lifting carpets and putting laminate down, fantastic location also 10 out 10, well done to all staff, we will definitely be back x"

"We, my partner and I, are just back from a week in the San Antonio. It was our first time there. We had a really good experience in this hotel. The room was great – situated on the fourth floor with a great sea view and balcony. Bathroom has a good strong shower, which is always a big plus for me. We went half-board i.e. breakfast and dinner, thinking we would probably dine out every second night for variety. The food was so good however, that we only went out for dinner one night. It’s a big hotel with lots of people there for dinner, but the staff did an excellent job of keeping the food refreshed, plates cleared away etc. We hadn’t done the buffet approach before but it’s a good way to get chatting with other people as you line up for your grub. There was entertainment in the evening, though we preferred to head out after dinner and do our own thing. When we got back after midnight the place had quietened down and we got seven nights of good sleep when we were there. We hired bikes from a local bike shop and did things outside the hotel during the daytime, so we were not at the pool that much but for the couple of afternoons we were there the poolside areas was great, everything clean and not too hectic. A nice touch on the hotel’s part was that for my partner’s birthday they sent up an ice bucket with a bottle of bubbly compliments of management. They must have noted her birth date from her passport when she checked in. It was a lovely gesture. Overall, we had a really good experience and I would like to thank the management and staff for very enjoyable week at the San Antonio."

"Honestly this Hotel is 20 years out of date. You don't need to look to hard to find its in complete disrepair. Massive cracks in the outside walking area and tiles cracked and missing. Its falling apart in every area. This Hotel needs closing and a full refurbishment."
