Globales Hotel Cala Vinas

"We stayed here for 7 nights and loved (almost*) every minute of it. The hotel is gorgeous in the communal areas. Rooms are a bit basic in style but impeccably clean; there wasn’t even any dust under the beds which you’d expect to see in otherwise very clean hotels!! We chose VIP which I would highly recommend. The views are beautiful from the upper floor rooms, and the VIP bar area is very quiet and peaceful. The main bonus of VIP is that there are never any queues for the bar, so it’s quick and easy to be served. There was also a drinks stand you could help yourself to with water, juice and wines, so it wasn’t always necessary to go to the bar. We did spend a day by the main pool and other reviews stating long queues and waits for the pool bar are unfortunately correct. It could have benefited from additional staff. There was a broad selection of all inclusive drinks. We did pay extra for cocktails some nights and they were gorgeous and well made - definitely worth treating yourself to one at least once. My only complaints are that the bars are cashless. This ultimately wasn’t a huge issue, but wasn’t well advertised before hand, so I brought a lot more cash with me than I needed to! It was also a shame that the piano bar only opened from 6:30pm onwards. There is loads of seating in the piano bar and a nice little outdoor area which was often empty because there just wasn’t much reason to sit there. Just serving soft drinks or hot drinks during the day at the piano bar would be a nice addition, or even just a self service coffee machine/juice bar. *Unfortunately the final night of our stay was ruined by a heavily intoxicated man who harassed and threatened my boyfriend and I in the cave bar unprovoked. We had bought bingo tickets we didn’t get to use because of him, and had been looking forward to the quiz night which we didn’t get to stay for. Fortunately we were rescued by a group of lovely ladies from Scotland, and hotel staff were alerted and came down promptly and took it very seriously. We left the bar ASAP and our flight was early the next morning, so I don’t know what the aftermath was, but I can only hope he was removed from the hotel!! I think we were just very unlucky to have this happen during our stay, because overall the hotel was very calm and safe. We would come back here again for definite, even despite the incident on the last night. I get the impression that’s a rare occurrence in the hotel and we were unfortunate to be victims to it. I appreciated how the manager we spoke to talked to us and dealt with it."

"I had forgot mention in my tripadvusor review that whilst there were issues with the hotel and food the staff and service they provide are still excellent. From Bibi Marino and Antonio in the bars and Salma Dani and Oscar on the animation team who run a great activities schedule.......even though for the first time ever I failed to win a certificate"

"The staff are lovely and welcoming, the staff at the front desk can help with any issues you have. It is set in a beautiful location right next to a beach and only 10-20 minutes away from magaluf. The food was nice and the variety of drinks was lovely! "
