HSM Canarios Park

"Stayed for weekend 2 adults 2 teens. Location no good. Centre is small and becomes repetitive even though we were only there for 3 days. We needed up travelling into Cala d’Or for 2/3 nights. Would not be walkable for anyone with mobility issues or older in age- at least 20 minute walk up and down hill. If you are going to stay here hire a car so you can have the option of exploring and leaving the area for food etc. Extremely dated including equipment. Food options poor quality and repetitive Bugs everywhere Avoid"

"Today is my last day. I travelled with my 6 year old. This was her first holiday abroad. Firstly id like to say that the staff are amazing and work so hard. The guys in the restaurant, the bar staff, the reception, the cleaning staff and the entertainers. The whole cup fiasco everyone moans about isn't really that bad. They wash them and change them on request. Choice of drinks is good. The nightly entertainment is dire. Kids mini disco for half an hour!!!!! Head shoulders knees and toes every night. Then the shows which were just cringe. I even nodded off during one. The entertainment is outdoors beside a very deep pool and their are little ones running riot beside them whilst parents get drunk. The pools are ok the music is too loud round the splash pool which is over the road from the hotel and there is a constant smell of drains which put me off going in the pools. The pools are very deep so little ones will need water wings and or life vests on at all times. Plenty of sunbeds and places to sit. One thing I didn't like was how people were just allowed to smoke and vape wherever they were outside. Even on the balcony so I had to sleep with a constant smell of smoke wafting in. I had to keep the patio door open for air as the air con doesn't work and the drain smell was coming in to the rooms too. The restaurant is manic, its a literal free for all and full of screaming kids and Spanish folk who only have 1 volume LOUD. You can only eat in the restaurant so as someone with adhd I really struggled with this environment. The food was ok. It tended to be pizza and chips every night, some dubious looking meat but the pasta and salads were nice but again the same every night. Deserts tended to be the same every night too. The hotel is miles away from anything. There is a mini bus that takes you to the beach but be prepared to wait for a long time as it only takes 8 people at a time. We used taxis in to town which were €5 but could be hard to get back. We caught the bus to Porto cristo on the Sunday for the market. The market wasn't anything special but the area is gorgeous and you can see Rafael Nadals massive catamaran. The bus stops right outside the hotel and goes to cala dor in the opposite direction, which is also lovely. The beds are really comfy and you can get the TV remote from reception and get Netflix in your room. The towels are changed everyday and the room cleaned . Things that are a must bring to this resort are pool side towels, water bottle to fill at the bar to take to bed or out for the day,a coffee cup as the takeaway cups are 2 mouth full. I even brought beakers with a lid and straw which I used around the pool and filled with pop or slush throughout the day. I dont think I would ever return to calas de mallorca or this hotel."

"1st things 1st don't take to much notice of the bad reviews, yes the rooms are a little basic, but every thing works, and it is properly cleaned everyday. I stayed here for 2 weeks with my 3 year old boy from the 11th of May, and we loved it. Yes it was a little stressful at times with the kid but also worth every second plus that's not the hotels fault. Food slightly repetitive, but you definitely will not starve as the restaurant is open from about 9am till 11pm i think, with just 30 minute breaks between services. Bar staff were unbelievable and made me feel like a friend not a customer. And they also were extremely good with my boy even after a hard days work they'd still mess and play with him. Entertainment staff were also incredible and not just with the kids but for the adults too. The have kids club everyday from 10am to 1.30pm where they will have little fun games for them to earn rewards to collect later on at the disco. Also they have competitions for the adults all through the day for them to compete and earn their own rewards later on at the disco too. I don't know where they find the energy to work how hard they do everyday. The do face painting, donkey rides, t-shirt painting which you do pay for, but i think for how hard they work they deserve every penny they make. Late night disco is good, but the kids disco could be a little longer before the main show, especially when a lot of time is taken away by the long queues for the photo opportunities at the end of certain shows. The hotel is located a little bit away from things, but its about 5 minutes in a taxi, also the hotel run a free mini bus till i think 6.30pm. Yes it can be a pain if there are big queues to get to the town or back home, but they run frequently all day. But having a kid it was nice not having the loud night life outside till stupid hours in the morning. The beach is beautiful and there is a good few excursions to go on. I would honestly love to go back here next year. And also want to thank everyone who made our holiday special."
