"My daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights (booked through Thomas Cook) and on the whole had a pleasant stay - there were some positives but there were some definite negatives. The hotel is supposedly a 4* but is much more like a 3* (or in some cases a 2*). Positives: Lovely pool, plenty of sun loungers, clean bedrooms, Juma - the hotel entertainment employee was so friendly and lovely, good local bus service, nice beach nearby. We had 2 very nice evenings with good entertainment - an acrobat performance from 2 men from Kenya, and a Michael Jackson tribute evening. Negatives: Food is very limited if you are vegetarian (there were NO vegetarian main options and when we requested we were given stir fried peppers), other times we were directed to the vegetable sides. Even a lot of the salads had meat or fish in them. So this is not a hotel to go to if you are a vegetarian. The food that we could eat was generally very disappointing. And the manager was not very helpful or friendly. Showers are often cool - we only had one hot shower during our stay. Worth taking earplugs as the corridors can be noisy. Reception staff were pleasant but check in took ages, and there never seemed to be more than one person available. Most staff have limited English which is not a problem unless you have a problem and then it was frustrating especially as the manager was not very friendly."
