Sol House Mallorca

"This is an honest review, I stayed at sol house on dates 1st June to 5th of June just for a few days break with my partner, I stayed in room 439 Aircon broken, came on the first night for around one hour and never again, Beds (2 singles) was the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, Asked on the day of arrival if could pay for a later check out, to be told to come back and arrange on check out day, when I did, i was told no availability which left us stranded until late that evening when transfers collected us, Food, we had bed and breakfast, the first day I couldn’t get off the toilet, gave it the benefit of the doubt and the second day, had breakfast again, and was poorly all that day, I then went elsewhere for food the following day and I was completely fine, I’m guessing because food isn’t covered and not following food safety guidelines, Overall wasn’t at all happy with my stay and will not be returning, But if you’re looking for a cheap holiday then I guess it’s for you, beach is also a 2 minute walk which is the only bonus, rooms was also clean just small and not comfortable."

"Arrived at Sol house at 1am on a Monday morning and queued for 45 mins to check in. Was located room 253 on the second floor right next to the stairwell. The noise was awful the whole hotel echoed, the hotel was very popular with the younger generation so still hearing people coming home at 7am. We went down for breakfast once, we looked about and left- lots to choose from but this included chips and veg ( sprouts included) the sausage looked uncooked and the fried eggs drowning in grease. So we choose Tom browns or benny hill instead for our time there. On checking in at 1am we witnessed someone putting their towels out. We went down at 8.30 on the first morning and couldn’t get a sunned (not many in the first place) and from then on couldn’t get a bed until our last day…as it seemed to be everyone’s check out day ( Thursday) Hotel seemed very load and rowdy over the weekend Thursday-Sunday but abit calmed mid week. Location was perfect, rooms not the cleanest, 1 day the cleaner came in changed 2 out of 4 towels and emptied the bin. The bed was rock hard and on wheels 2 singles no double. Very average hotel that I wouldn’t stay at again but ok if you’re here for a stag or hen party."

"our first night we woke up at 3am to someone outside our room breaking a fire extinguisher container (glass) along with lots of drunken talking which was incredibly loud from the room. Breakfast was average lots of variety however temperature was not hot. Life guard at the pool would leave every 30/40 minutes and disappear for like 10 minutes. The upstairs pool and bar was advertised as open until 10pm however shut at like 6/7 pm. The cleaners are incredibly rude and barely give the room a clean. Our bed sheets weren’t changed at all over our 7 day stay here and neither was the toilet, shower or sink. At best our bins were emptied and the mirror was wiped down however we had two days without this service. On our last day we were running 10 minutes late to check out and the cleaner came in took her phone out and shook her head at us and raised her arms as if to say why are you still in here. Music around the pool is the same 15/20 song on repeat and drinks in the hotel are very over priced. Cannot fault the location though you are right near the beach and the noise from the party goers is not too bad at night."
