"Where to start I work within the travel industry and would definitely not recommend this hotel nowhere near a 4*. Ill start with arrival arrived early hours of the morning we was on magnus side up a big hill me, my mum (elderly lady) and 2 young children all areas was poorly lit and no help was offered with cases to get to room even though they could see I was clearly struggling. The sell point for this was magnus side and having a games console in the room- the games console was broke I reported to reception to be told 'ok' Whilst there my son had his phone stolen- this was not by a hotel guest had to be work of someone that lives there as his card was trying to be used in Palma literally 45 minutes later after it had been stolen, hotel was so so unhelpful refused to help with CCTV- I'm aware of GDPR procedures but law is if there is a reason for hotel to view it they can they just need to document why they are its not like I was asking to see it myself, also reluctant in giving police number etc. Following on from this multiple times we saw local men walking round hotel with no hotel wristbands when I would tell reception they kept saying they were maintenance but they weren't in uniform just in normal jeans and t shirt not like the actual maintenance who had Fergus club on there t-shirts so wouldn't even surprise me if the hotel is aware this is a problem but just cant be bothered to approach it. We had a storm day four- Had no running water for half a day went to reception to report the man said yeah we know. No sorry for the inconvenience or anything. Reception staff were just awful and unhelpful our whole stay to be honest we found ourselves going to the reps for everything! Cleaning was non existent- on last day we moved the sofa bed and there was all food underneath must of been from previous guests, didn't have our bedding changed the whole time we were there just towels changed and bins emptied. Food was basic all inclusive- repetitive but edible, Magnus not worth the upgrade in my opinion no obvious perks. The only good things I would say about the hotel is the children's facilities my children loved the pool, football court, games room and even the kids club! The staff who worked the games room and kids club was absolutely amazing with the children so big well done to them! My advise would be if this is all your budget can stretch to then book but be sceptical but if you can make your budget stretch slightly further then make it, as we all save hard for our holidays and this was a holiday from hell."
