"Arrived to be told room not ready until 2pm,came back at 2.10pm to be told still not ready...thought great start. Stayed in room 321 on the very top floor at the furthest point away from the canteen. Room was very clean but shower was ideal for not turning around in....a hobbit would've loved it!!!
Location is remote but my partner and i love walking....Punta Prima about a 10 minute walk so all good.
Had issues with our all inclusive band which opens your room door too...ours didn't,everyday after lunch time...so eventually got an extra swipe card instead.
Drinks are pretty decent but food was usually cold...even when dished out fresh?? I had the great dining experience of pork steak which was only cooked properly on one side (i spat it out and just shrugged my shoulders) me and my partner are not ones to be fussy (wish i'd have taken a photo really but hey ho....wasn't prepared for the next episode)
Mon 04/05/2026 went to room for sun cream,my partner tapped me and pointed at a large cockroach (American one) running near the door frame of a room a few down from us on the same stretch. Told my partner we'd best tell reception but we both decided that maybe it was just an isolated incident...Neither of us slept a wink that night. Tuesday noticed all the pictures had been taken down (cockroach paradise is behind these) on every floor of the hotel near the lift access? Wed 05/05/2026 had a really good day....weather was great,staff all happy and cheery,everyone down at the pool,returning to our room around 4.40pm i went to the bathroom, in there heard a noise and looked to my right,a similar cockroach to the one we'd seen Mon was perched in the middle of the bathroom mirror,still big but not as well fed as Monday's guest. Managed to get a photo of it as it tried running round the back of the mirror (if you can't find a picture... a mirror will suffice)
My partner had already rung reception. Five minutes later a knock at door and a maintainance guy with black gloves went into the bathroom,a thud,bang,crash,wallop and crunch later the man came out, laughed and said he'd got it,then off he went.
Me and my partner looked at each other and said is that it? We waited 10 minutes,nobody came to clean the room or asked if we wanted to change rooms....Bear in mind it's day time not the middle of the night. The sliding door was closed in our room and we were on the top floor, at a guess would say it's come up through the plumbing in the bathroom (corridor has no windows either,took photos) Cockroaches can't fly to the height we were at either!!!
We decided to ring TUI,nearly 2 hours later after getting kicked from pillar to post, a lady said she'd get the manager to come see us. The man who came was pleasant but said this was completely normal, tried explaining that you shouldn't be seeing them in the daytime and that on both occasions it's because the roaches knew hardly anyone was in their rooms,he said it had probably flown in :)
Had already noticed in the manager's hand a yellow post-it-note with room numbers scribbled on it that were for the second floor, he asked us if we wanted to switch room,tried explaining that we were on the highest floor so any lower floors would have them too. We had booked earliest flight home with JET2 for the morning after so didn't sleep a wink that night either.
All in all don't like leaving bad reviews but worst experience ever on holiday. Spent a lot of money for 5 nights not 11 in the end, had waited 7 months for this.
All the hassle of checking clothes for eggs,roaches etc then washing all the clothes (half had not even been worn) being stopped at the airport and asked why we had booked a flight home at such short notice....basically implying we were up to something??? We were,we were getting out of a hotel where we didn't want to be anymore.
If you go to the filter option on here type "cockroach" for this hotel....wish we'd have done so before we went!!! There are a lot of reports about them near the canteen,we were nowhere near it either."
