With its elegant interiors and plentiful amenities, the Jardines de Nivaria is right at home with the luxury hotels, boutiques and restaurants that Costa Adeje is known for. This hotel is in the heart of the resort, offering direct access to the soft sands of Playa Fanabe beach.
Jardines translates as ‘gardens’ in English, and that’s fitting, because this hotel is cloaked in them. Two lake-like pools dominate the space between the hotel and the seafront, and they’re cocooned by shrubs, palms and blooms. Thanks to sloped entry points, waterfalls and surrounding rockfaces, each one has a grotto-like feel, and loungers freckle the area. Elsewhere, the deluxe spa (featuring a Turkish bath, a sauna and an ice fountain) offers an opportunity for indoor R&R, while tennis courts, a gym and a putting green cater for more active types.
When it comes to dining, there are three restaurants to try. Solandra serves international buffet spreads with a gourmet edge, La Cupula has a gourmet menu and a brilliant wine list, and Cascada offers Mediterranean and local specialities – the tapas dishes, especially, are a big hit with guests.
As for after-dinner tipples, they’re best enjoyed in Tiffany’s, a swish lounge bar with a resident pianist and an outdoor terrace for nightly shows and regular live music. You'll also find a bar in the reception hall that serves fresh pastries as well as drinks, while the Vitaminas terrace bar has you covered for your daily vitamin fix with fresh fruit juices.
