"We have just returned from a 10 day stay at this hotel and it was fabulous from start to finish.
The staff, workshops, food and location have contributed in making this an unforgettable experience.
Reception - The staff we interacted with were all very pleasant and friendly but a very HUGE shoutout to Alice who was outstanding with her help, friendliness and beautiful smile. Also we wouldn’t want to forget to mention Jose and Carlos who although we had a much more limited interaction with, were still nevertheless helpful.
Circle by Melia - Many many thanks to Toni and Miguel. You both were so professional, happy and friendly, offering much needed advice and oozing warmth and desire for us to visit particular places. We don’t feel we are over exaggerating by saying that these fantastic individuals made our holiday extremely enjoyable and totally relaxing. Sometimes ones involved with the “timeshare” label can receive a huge amount of bad press on their pushy, upselling attitude. However we would like to say that this couldn’t have been further from the truth with our personal experience. Yes we were invited to go through the spiel of what they were offering but never were we made to feel under pressure to commit. In fact Yana was so amazing with her technique that despite us declining to “sign on the dotted line” we did go away giving it much thought as to whether we would consider committing at a future time!
Workshops we loved:
Mojo Sauce - fabulous. Thank you to the chef for his clear explanation of making the sauce. You made it such an easy step-by-step session which we are excited to try for our next dinner guests. Fear a do your help was brilliant too.
Aloe - This workshop was very insightful and informative. Such generous amount of little bottles to take away. Our instructor was very patient and kind.
Cocktail and Latino - Luisa you were brilliant at both. It was great to have Jorge’s help with the cocktail session too.
Candles and Soap - Both were super but we didn’t really get too involved other than decorating our candle and mixing our soap, hugely due to the nature of the product. But still a huge thank you to both instructors.
Glass - Rosina you made this a thoroughly enjoyable workshop. Your calm, passionate love of your product is so contagious. My husband especially appreciated your help and excellent advice on the “bubble” colour.
It would be remiss of us not to acknowledge the fantastic, high energetic, fun contribution Fernando brought to the workshops he assisted with during our stay. He is truly a major part of the sessions and is already to help those taking the workshop but also us participants. A MASSIVE personality that adds so much to the team at Melia.
Lastly but not least a Big shout out to a couple of ladies in the restaurant, Ying and Luisa. Whenever we went for breakfast or dinner both were very welcoming hosts who made us feel like special guests coming to their home. The personal touch we received and the hospitable nature portrayed is one that shouldn’t be overlooked as this is something that is natural and totally genuine.
What we were also very touched by was that whenever we saw Ying outside of her restaurant duties she was always very friendly and interested in us. Her genuineness is all encompassing.
