Days here can be as lazy or as active as you like. Start with a coffee in a nearby café, wander the old town, then head back up to the rooftop where the pool and sun terrace are waiting. It’s a great spot to stretch out with a book, cool off with a mid-afternoon swim and soak up views over rooftops to the ocean and mountains.
With a self-catering set-up, you can keep things flexible. Stock up at local supermarkets and bakeries for relaxed breakfasts or simple balcony bites, then head out in the evening for the fun stuff. Puerto de la Cruz is full of places serving Canarian favourites, fresh fish, pintxos and ice cream, so you can try somewhere new every night without walking far. For a proper taste of “old-school Tenerife” with easy freedom built in, Bambi makes a decent little base.
