"My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing week.
The main reason we chose this hotel was the adults-only infinity pool, and it did not disappoint. We came away wanting to do very little other than relax, read books by the pool and unwind, and we were able to do exactly that. The adults-only policy was well enforced, with any children who wandered into the area quickly redirected elsewhere. The pool itself was lovely, although a little cold at first. Once acclimatised, it was a fantastic place to spend the day. 9/10
The daytime entertainment was very good, with activities including volleyball, darts, yoga and more. I played beach volleyball for the first time during this holiday and enjoyed it so much that I played several times throughout the week. 8/10
Unfortunately, the evening entertainment was the weakest aspect of the hotel. The entertainment team worked hard and clearly did their best, but everything took place in the sports bar, which felt quite dark and cave-like. The music was often too loud to relax and enjoy a drink, while the sports shown across multiple screens were often out of sync and played without sound. 4/10
One small annoyance was that the TVs in the rooms appeared to have HDMI functionality blocked, making it impossible to use a Fire Stick or similar device during quieter evenings.
Food was generally good, with several dining options available. The buffet offered themed evenings, although the menus didn’t always fully reflect the advertised theme. For example, Italian night featured only a couple of ravioli dishes, while pasta was available most nights anyway. After a few days the food became a little repetitive, although it remained tasty throughout. I actually found the lunch buffet stronger than the evening offering.
There are also a couple of café-style dining venues. The 24-hour Express Bar was useful but often seemed understaffed, meaning ordering could take a while, although the food itself arrived quickly. On occasion, however, orders were not quite correct.
Guests staying for a week can also book the à la carte restaurant, choosing between Brazilian rodizio-style dining and Italian cuisine. We chose the Brazilian option and found it a welcome change of pace from the buffet.
A special mention should go to the ice cream, which was excellent throughout the stay. The beach bar was fairly average but perfectly adequate for a lighter lunch if you wanted to avoid the buffet.
My wife unfortunately developed an upset stomach during the holiday, which we suspect may have been linked to some prawns that had not been properly deveined, although it could equally have been a typical traveller’s stomach issue. Overall, despite some repetition, I would rate the food 7/10.
The drinks offering was less impressive. Cocktails were fairly basic and appeared to rely heavily on pre-mixed ingredients rather than fresh preparation. The local beer, however, was very enjoyable and never became tiresome. Coffee lovers should consider bringing their expectations down a little, as the coffee on offer was disappointing. 4/10
Staff were generally pleasant, although there was occasionally an atmosphere that some employees would rather be elsewhere. The daytime entertainment team stood out as particularly enthusiastic and engaging. Some waiting staff appeared disinterested, while others were excellent and friendly. 6/10
The excursions available through the hotel were plentiful. We took a day trip to Carthage, which I would highly recommend, and also enjoyed an afternoon quad biking excursion. There is a padel court behind the hotel that regularly hosts local events in the evenings, and we found ourselves attending those rather than the hotel’s entertainment. Coco, the excursions manager and concierge, was especially helpful and friendly throughout our stay. 8/10
The surrounding area itself offers relatively little. Local shop owners can be persistent, with the common “I work at your hotel, do you remember me?” approach frequently used to draw tourists into shops. We visited Yasmine Hammamet one morning, which we enjoyed, although there was still plenty of pressure from traders. The Medina has a charming appearance but is largely geared towards souvenir shopping, ranging from ceramics to imitation designer goods. 6/10
One thing worth mentioning is how easy it was to exchange money. We were able to convert GBP to Tunisian Dinar (TND) directly at the hotel without any issues, which was very convenient and meant we didn’t have to spend time searching for exchange facilities elsewhere.
During our week-long stay, we spent approximately £400 in total, including excursions, trips outside the resort, souvenirs and general spending money. We also tipped around 150 TND throughout the holiday, although only when we felt service genuinely warranted it rather than as a matter of course.
While it would almost certainly have been possible to book some excursions more cheaply through private operators, we found the convenience and organisation offered through the hotel to be worthwhile. Taking everything into account, we felt the holiday represented good value for money and offered a lot for what we paid.
The hotel itself is undoubtedly its strongest asset. It is immaculate, beautifully maintained, well laid out and occupies a fantastic beachfront location. Security was visible throughout the resort, which provided reassurance without feeling intrusive. 9/10
Overall, we had a very relaxing honeymoon and achieved exactly what we came for: sunshine, relaxation and quality time together. While there are certainly areas that could be improved, particularly the evening entertainment, drinks and some aspects of the dining experience, the beautiful setting, excellent pool areas, immaculate hotel grounds and overall value for money made for a very enjoyable stay.
Would I return? Probably not, been here and got the t-shirt. Would I recommend it? Absolutely."
