"When we arrived at this resort we didnt know what to expect.
We arrived quite late and we have been invited to eat straight away and we did the checkin after. We had someone delivering the bagages to our room shortly.
From day one we had an amazing experience.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner we served it in the kids one all the time and all the staff in there were serving drinks at the table, I will give extra points to Sema for doing this during breakfast and lunch and always looking after the little ones with a smile on her face.
The food selection is great, if someone said there there is no diversity is just lies... but if you're bacon addicted, this resort (or whole Turkey) might not be for you, as they dont eat pork.
We had dinner once in the turkish a la carte retaurant and it was great.
I have to send a big 👍 to the man that was cooking live pasta for his great service but I didnt get his name.
Plenty bars in the resort so never big queues for drinks, and the minibar in the room stocked daily.
During our stay it was my wife birthday and she got a card and a cake in the room and a beautiful arrangement on the bed made from flowers and towels.
The entertainment team was so good. Mustafa, Oleg, Yavuz and Memo did everything to entertain all the guests, but Memo was an amaizing presenter for the night entertainment, he's made for it.
At the pool the roller skater guy, Mehmet, was serving the guests drinks all day long straight to the sun loungers, so he deserves a pay rise.
But the best part of the resort is with no doubt the kids club team. Ferro and Nunu (Nuczet) went above and beyond to keep the kids busy and entertained all day long. The mini disco every night was brilliant and we enjoyed it every day. Whatever the resort does, please keep them and dont let them go as they are both fabulous.
My wife got a wellness package as a treat for her birthday and she said it was really good.
The only bad experience in here was the photo guy (team). The hotel gave us a voucher for a free photo, but the photo guy made about 100 pictures and we asked him during the session how much will cost and he said that is very good price, but when we went to see the photos he was asking initially £450.
We started negotiating and in the end we choosed an album with 30 pictures and some pictures send by email for €260, which is not cheep, so be prepared to pay a fortune if you go for a photo session.
Our 5 year old boy loved both playgrounds but especially the kids club, he's still asking for Ferro after 4 days since we left the resort.
We didnt stay at the beach any day as the sea wasnt calm enough and unfortunately we didnt try the beach restaurant either.
There are loads of sun loungers everywhere so you don't have to worry about getting there early as you will find plenty any time of the day.
There are plenty shops in the resort, for everything you want as jewellery, souvenirs, clothes, cigarettes, toys and even a barber shop.
We had 2 minor issues in the room, and there is a QR code that you can scan in the room and you can see all the facilities that the hotel offers. Anyway, I put 2 requests on the hotel app, and they were both sorted in minutes.
What we realised in Turkey, or maybe just in this Side area, is that as soon as you're out of the hotel, everything is so expensive... this is not a joke, Turkey used to be cheep, but trust me, is the most expensive country that I've been to so far...
But Monachus is a place where I will definitely come back, and I will not do any pictures with their photographers.
Thank you so much for a fabulous stay.
See you next time."
