"This was my fourth stay (year) at the Merton Hotel, and somehow it manages to exceed my expectations every single time. From the moment you arrive, you're made to feel genuinely welcome. The warm reception, spotless cleanliness throughout the hotel, friendly atmosphere, and exceptional service create a holiday experience that is truly special. Every member of staff I encountered delivered hospitality at a genuine five-star and above level, making guests feel valued and cared for throughout their stay. The food was outstanding as always – top quality, plentiful, and with something to suit everyone. The restaurant team deserves enormous credit, particularly Jill, John, Indah, Vipin, Eldho, Peter, David, Nithin, Suma, Wulan, and all the chefs who also meet you during breakfast and dinner and many others whose names I may have unfortunately missed. Your hard work, professionalism, and friendliness never go unnoticed. A special thank you also to Roi and Huda on reception, along with all the front-of-house team. Every interaction was met with a smile and a willingness to help. The entertainment has always been one of the highlights of the Merton, but this year it has stepped up to another level entirely. From the fantastic performance by Natasha Hamilton from Atomic Kitten on my first night to the brilliant Manband show packed with classic hits, every evening was memorable. The new Rock Circus production was outstanding, and the brand-new Route 66 show by Performers Jersey was simply magical. A huge congratulations to Lee (Ents Manager) and the entire entertainment team. The time, effort, and dedication you've invested Lee are clearly paying off. Ents team Casey, Lewis, Jem, Phoebe, and every outside cast involved delivered show after show of five-star-plus quality entertainment. The professionalism, talent, and enthusiasm on display were exceptional and added so much to the holiday experience. What makes the Merton truly special isn't just the facilities, the food, or the entertainment—it's the people (staff). Every member of staff embodies true hospitality and creates an atmosphere that keeps guests coming back year after year, and they remember you!! Will the Merton see me again? Most definitely. Once again, I leave wishing I could stay longer and already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you to everyone for making another holiday so memorable. "The service from all the hotel staff was absolutely 5 star. So friendly and attentive. A special mention must go to Astika the surf pro who taught us how to boogie board and surf on the flowrider. He has the patience of a Saint and hips like Shakira. We had the best time! So much fun :)"

"Ian and the team were absolutely outstanding on our last day at the hotel. After we had checked out, my friend unfortunately developed a migraine and, with a late flight home, we had nowhere quiet to go until it was time to leave for the airport. Ian and his colleagues went above and beyond to help, finding a quiet and comfortable place where she could rest. Their kindness, compassion and willingness to assist made a difficult situation so much easier for us. Another member of staff, whose name I believe was Sreen (or possibly Breen), was also incredibly attentive during this time. The hotel itself was very comfortable, and having access to the pool complex was a fantastic bonus. Our twin room was comfortable, clean and surprisingly quiet for such a large hotel. There was some road noise at times, which is to be expected, but nothing that detracted from our stay. We enjoyed breakfast every day and, despite there being several large groups staying at the hotel, it never felt overwhelmingly busy. The dining areas were well managed, there was always a good selection of food available, and service remained efficient throughout our stay. The location was convenient, being around a 10–15 minute walk from St Helier town centre. There is also a bus stop at the bottom of the road, making it easy to get around. For a very large hotel with multiple restaurants and eating areas, it was impressive that it never felt crowded or chaotic. The service we received was exceptional throughout, and it genuinely felt as though the staff could not do enough for their guests. I would highly recommend staying at the Merton Hotel. If I could give a rating higher than the maximum available, I certainly would."
