"Let me first start by saying that the location was very central (Paddington Station and Hyde Park) and clean. My room was meant for 2 but it was barely big enough for 1 human and a large suitcase. The bathroom was so small that brushing my teeth got water all over the floor. There was no hair conditioner or lotion and the towels were very rough, as were the sheets. My room did face inside and so I slept well without street noise. From the moment of checking in, everyone at the front desk was rude, acting like they could not understand me (I speak English and was in England) and no one offered to help me with my luggage. Housekeeping never came to my room due to a huge front desk error despite me telling them that I wanted housekeeping to come to my room. They just looked at me and shrugged and said it was too late at night (9p) for housekeeping. When I got home, I wrote the hotel a long email and they did get back to me about a week later apologizing saying they would give me a 20% refund on my stay. That was May 14th. I have yet to get a credit and after emailing the hotel many times, have heard nothing back."

"Let’s face it money doesn’t go very far in London nowadays but this place is perfectly respectable given its fresh atmosphere and very good location. I had a ‘roomy’ room - it was small. I can’t imagine what a ‘cosy’ room would be like but everyone is different. Didn’t eat but the cafe is vegetarian and has a good reputation. Staff were friendly and helpful. Skip the ‘spa’ looks fine on the website but it’s really a small sauna in the basement with zero atmosphere or anything else except a hot room and shower- there is a salt room but frankly didn’t see the point- due to the location near where I needed to be I’ll be back for sure. Comparable nearby would be Hilton or Mercure and this place is definitely more charming and independent than the cookie cutter options- earning Bonvoy was a bonus"

"I’d like to shout out the lovely Gabriella at reception. From the minute we sat down to complete our booking process, she was friendly, helpful and made us feel special. Great service from the get go and started our evening off perfectly, Clean, simple, comfortable , modern, quiet room . Really handy location. Would stay again Thankyou"
