Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge

"Just returned home today after 2 nights from Friday 5th June for our 5th Anniversary. We had booked one of the King Deluxe Rooms which was on the top floor and Executive Lounge Access, upon arrive there was a hand written Anniversary card, half bottle of red wine and chocolates in the room, totally unexpected and what a great touch (Thankyou) We normally stay at one of the Marriott Hotels when we have weekends in London and if I'm being honest, we were not too sure how this was going to compare, but I have to say, both my wife and myself were very surprised, this place for the money and location is absolutely brilliant and couldn't really fault it. Really nice spa and pool area (we didn't use but did go down to view it) gym wasn't open but I wasn't there and didn't book the hotel for that so didn't matter. Everywhere was very clean and kept tidy, there was only one time on Saturday when we came back to the hotel and sat in the Executive Lounge that there were tables that had been used and not cleared, over half the tables had used cups, bottles etc and needed clearing for others to sit and use. Maybe a staff shortage or just a little behind a clear up. My only other two points is the shower itself is not the largest, if you were a larger person you'd struggle for room and when our room was cleaned/made up, our dirty glasses etc from the night before were not taken, just a couple of little points but not a moan, just pointing out we would have expected them to be taken. Breakfast is self service, a proper sized cup for your tea/coffee and the food was very good, my wife liked the Omelette section where you could have that cooked whilst waiting, nice touch. Overall, really nice, no actual complaints and we have already suggested that our next weekend in London will be back at this hotel, Thank-You. Mr M Graham"
