Novotel London Paddington

"The hotel is average and would get 3 stars out of 5 but what really got to us was 1) NO AIR CONDITIONING and the London heat was horrible. 2) CONSTANT DRILLING as they're currently undergoing refurbishment."

"We booked this hotel for my 50th birthday with my family and was a bit worried after seeing some bad reviews, However I thought this hotel was excellent, We checked in on 23/05/26 and the woman who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming unfortunately I didn't get her name , the rooms were very clean and and bed was comfy, The breakfast was excellent normally not a big fan of buffet breakfast but this was very good, Location is Sainsbury's nearby and 5 minutes away from tube station, I would highly recommend this hotel, I would stay again if I come to London in future,"

"I cannot come up with a single good reason to stay at this hotel. The location is NOT convenient - it's a long walk from Paddington Station - and every single Uber driver we had try to pick us up at this hotel got lost trying to find it (and many cancelled on us). It's extremely confusing and you have to drive through Sheldon Square and press a buzzer to get the hotel to raise a gate to drive in. The hotel is situated in the middle of an office complex - and no one knows where it is or how to get there. The rooms do not have a single charging outlet on the side of the room where the beds are - and only one plug on the other side of the room. The closet space is tiny and there's no where else to hang up items in the small room. There isn't a set of drawers in the room either. So your clothes have to stay in your suitcase, but there's nowhere to put the suitcases without tripping over them. The toilet "room" is around the corner from the rest of the bathroom - so you have to go to the toilet, then walk around the corner to wash your hands...ridiculous! The shower is small and leaks onto the floor as the door doesn't close securely and the hairdryer only works if you hold onto the button the entire time. The hotel is apparently undergoing some renovations (which they didn't tell us when we booked), and none of the rooms on our floor had been renovated yet. The shower in the gym area is nicer, but also don't include a single hook to hang up your things or your towel. The included breakfast is odd - just a self service coffee machine or hot water to make a lackluster cup of tea (and no saucers for your spoon and bag). There is no porridge on the buffet either. This is the 4th hotel we've stayed at over our 10 days in England...and by far the worst one!"
