Km Apartments

"Stank of fish. Cramped student accomodation at hotel prices. You are subjected to the smell of whatever is being cooked by students around you (fish in our case). No ventilation. The heating also broke while we were there. When we complained reception staff were just not interested and seemed well aware of the ventilation and smell issues. Will not stay again."

"On the weekend we went the price was approaching three times what is shown in trip advisor and the KM website was the most expensive way to book. In fairness when I sent screenshots of prices on other booking site they matched it. We went with it to be adjacent to an event I had to attend and as i couldn't go far after a recent hospitalisation. It's dog friendly and we rationalised some of cost against kenneling. Our opening 12 hours was asking reception about ULEZ zone, no idea. Having one key for two when there are multiple locked doors was a PIA, in our room the promised dog care package wasn't there and the TV aerial coax socket broken. Going back to reception I showed email proposing "dog package", (which is useful BTW) and that appeared later. The bed is so tight in it's location there's only room for one bedside lamp and a tiny table. Next morning at breakfast then toilets for the dining area were uncleaned after receiving liberal doses of vomit during an event the previous night. The manager did come over to apologise although you can't unsee or unsmell that . If you are staying on your own, particularly for an extended period and importantly your employer is paying then these apartments are probably ideal For us it's the worse value for money experience I've ever had in a hotel, and by some margin. Considering the attention to detail would be an issue at much cheaper chain option we wouldn't go back"

"We stayed in both the Apartments and the Hotel as we had to extend our stay. Needless to say I will not be staying here again. We booked it specifically due to it advertising the apartment having laundry facilities, it does not, rather the apartment is located within the university students accommodation and you can access their laundry, but you have to pay and use an app. You also have to compete with the students.The apartment has two TVs, neither functioned properly. The kitchen table was unstable and was not safe to eat on, the toilet seat was not stable. There is a lift to the apartment, however there are then stairs you have to negotiate. If you are mobility impaired it may be beyond some without assistance. The apartment also was over three levels with narrow stairs and in the bedroom the bed was only accessible on one side.We reported the defects to the concierge, we said we didn't need them rectified until we left, they did however send a repair person who was quite laissez-faire and when asked to actually fix the issues they essentially shrugged and left. It would have been better not to send anyone. In the hotel, the room was fine, but it's a four story facility, however there is no lift. Originally we were in the fourth floor, we did express our displeasure at having to lug our bags up four flights. We couldn't check in yet, so we checked our bags and on return they had moved us to the second floor and placed our bags in the room. The room was clean but some repairs such as a lamp replacement were a bit slip shod, with the plaster work not repaired behind it. In the shower there was some mould and the silastic was degraded and the fan was quite loud and did not turn off for some time making watching the TV difficult. Not a pleasant stay."
