Novotel Edinburgh Park

"A good 1 night stay here in Edinburgh. Reception was a little slow on arrival but friendly enough when we got there. We got a good room with the attached no bottled water sign - you dont need bottled water in Scotland. The rooms to the rear of the hotel are next to the train line AND the tram line so a bit noise over night. For a modern hotel I thought the glazing and sound proofing could have been better. Internal noise no issues. Dinner in the restaurant was good - complete with linen napkins. Food was good but a fairly small menu - a little over priced but its a captive audience. There is a KFC next door if you need it !! The hotel is a little out of town but you can get to it easily by a 5 minute walk to the station at Edinburgh Park - both train and tram stop here. 10 or so mins to the Airport on the tram and 15 - 20 or so mins to central Edinburgh on the tram. The train is much quicker and its cheaper but is less frequent. There was a little confussion with the sat nav and the surrounding roads trying to get there - also watch out some local roads have bus gates and barriers. Overall a good stay, a bit expensive for the hotel but its Edinburgh in the summer so its always pricey. Price was in line with similar hotels nearby."

"Excellent as always We have used the Hermiston Gate Novotel manu times and I dont think I have ever left a review. This hotel is fantastic; clean comfortable rooms, attentive staff who go out of their way to help (Thanks Alex) super choices for breakfast and a great location for the airport, going into town or for travelling onwards. We have never used the pool/gym facilities but they look amazing and are well used. Keep doing what you are doing. One very happy guest who already has another 2 stays booked for later in the year."
