Old Waverley

"The hotel was in a good location and the rooms were clean but that’s the only positives. The entrance looked like it belonged in a side alley. We had carry on luggage and it was challenging getting them up and down the stairs, I can’t imagine having larger checked bags.There was a big problem with my room booking which the manager admitted was the hotel’s fault but he was not able to fix it. This was our only negative experience after traveling 12 days thru the UK."

"Our second stay. We stayed in one of the refurbished bedrooms and it has been done very nicely. Our view wax stunning as we were higher this time. Bed very comfortable. Staff as last time were helpful. Breakfast kept us going all day. Lewis on reception was helpful with directions. We didn't need it but there is a luggage area were you put your luggage if you arrive early or you are not leaving Edinburgh until later. Location location is absolutely key to this hotel so near to the train station. Tram and bus stops and easy to walk to most places from here. We will be back in 2028 see you all then"
