Radisson Blu Hotel Edinburgh City Centre

"Visited Edinburgh for 2 nights and stayed in the Royal Suite. The room wasn't ready when we arrived at the hotel but that wasn't an issue, the concierge was really helpful, friendly, and even arranged for some complimentary drinks in the lounge whilst we waited for our room. We only had to wait approx 20mins so it wasn't really an inconvenience. The room was a brilliant size, the beds were extremely comfortable and given you're on the Royal Mile, surprisingly we heard little to no noise at night. An extra bed was added to our room and a travel cot as well for the little one. The hotel is located a short walk away from the train station in virtually the centre of Edinburgh so it is perfect for going almost anywhere in the city centre. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Edinburgh."

"This hotel is very nice and centrally located. The rooms are clean and MOST of the staff are very nice. Ordinarily, I’d give this hotel the full five stars. However, one employee ruined our last two days in Edinburgh, so much so, that I am only giving it three stars. We stayed at Radisson Blu in Edinburgh at the beginning of our two week stay that included different hotel stays in various cities in Scotland and we were happy with that first stay. We had plans to stay at a different hotel in Edinburgh for our last two nights, but those reservations fell through so we went back to Radisson Blu to get a room. We already knew there was availability because we’d called ahead. But when my daughter and I walked in without our luggage to make reservations in person, we encountered PABLO. He was extremely rude and said they had no available rooms without even looking at his computer. My daughter and I explained we had called ahead and were told they did have availability and he rudely said, “Who told you that?! There’s nothing available!” My daughter and I walked out into the lobby and booked our room on the internet, then walked back in to a different employee, Natasha, and showed her the reservations we’d just made. She was extremely courteous and we ended our trip by staying our last two nights there. I sincerely hope hotel management takes time to read this review so they will realize the impact one person can make on their business. In the end, it didn’t matter that the hotel was nice, the rooms were nice, and the breakfast was good. What we were left with was a terrible experience at the hotel because of one employee. Because of how Pablo treated us, I would never stay at the Radisson Blu in Edinburgh, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Hope someone is reading their reviews."

"Great location and pleased with parking. Excellent staff, especially Holly at Reception and the cheery fellow from Spain! The spa was very welcome at the end of a busy day of walking. Clean, relaxed, all needs met."
